The Massachusetts Marine Trades Educational Trust received a generous
grant from the BoatUS Foundation to create, publish and distribute
an educational brochure on Clean
Marine Fueling Practices. MMTA members are encouraged
to download and reproduce this brochure for your marina customers
and new boat owners.
Designed for boaters and marine industry employees alike, this six
page brochure includes a Preventative Checklist for Boaters, Special
instructions for Personal Watercraft users, Steps to take Prior
to and After Fueling, Tips on how to handle portable fuel tanks
and safely approach and arrive at a fuel dock, guidelines on handling
the transportation of Hazardous Waste Liquids, Spills-Prevention,
